The first four episodes of season three of the hit Netflix period drama dropped today, as we turn our attention to the budding romance between Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan).

Bridgerton has fast become one of the most popular TV shows of all time. With its decadence, regality, and snobbishness coupled with Shonda Rhimes’ trademark themes of gossip, lust and tension, the unique tone and aesthetic of the show has enthralled global audiences since its debut in 2020.

As with many of Netflix's offerings, fans are set to devour the first episodes in one, long binge. It's natural, then, to want to further immerse yourself in the world of debutante balls, enormous wigs and flamboyant gowns – and if you're in the UK, the answer may be closer than you think.

While the series is set predominantly in London, the show’s production also sets its sights beyond the M25, with shooting taking place in Yorkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and more beyond the 'shire' suffix. Many of these locations are open to the public and fairly easy to get to, so we've rounded them up in case you fancy stepping back into Lady Whistledown's world.

Ranger's House, Greenwich

The home of the titular Bridgerton family, while canonically situated in Mayfair's Grosvenor Square, can in fact be found south of the river at Ranger's House in Greenwich. The familiar exterior of cherry blossoms and wisteria will serve as the perfect backdrop as you stroll the pathway and imagine your life as the Georgian equivalent of Gossip Girl.

Formerly the home of Henry VIII, the sprawling grounds of this palace should be familiar to fans. The Tudor colossus has served as the backdrop for many scenes including debutante arrivals, multiple instances of Queen Charlotte devouring Lady Whistledown's latest gossip and, of course, Anthony and Edwina's ill-fated wedding.

Royal Crescent, Bath

Perhaps the most recognisable and iconic of Bridgerton's filming locations is the Royal Crescent in Bath, Somerset. Formed of 30 Grade 1-listed terraced houses, the arched street is one of Britain's greatest remaining examples of Georgian architecture. It's no surprise, then, that it serves as the scene of multiple Bridgerton dramas – most notably as the home of the Featheringtons.

Castle Howard, Yorkshire

Once Simon and Daphne skip off into the sunset after their wedding, they set up shop in the fictional Clyvedon Castle; the estate of the Duke of Hastings. In reality, Castle Howard is no less grand than its fictional counterpart with vast parklands and gardens surrounding the Baroque home at its heart.

Blenheim Palace, Oxfordshire

While many will know Blenheim Palace as the birthplace of Winston Churchill, we wager many more will know it as the regal seat of power in Queen Charlotte, the much-loved Bridgerton spinoff. The country house will be making its Bridgerton debut in season 3, and as the only non-Royal house in the UK to hold the title of Palace, it is open to visitors year-round.
