Launched in 2013 by Hannah Weiland, Shrimps initially captured the world’s attention with vibrant faux fur outerwear, introducing the material to the luxury sphere and leading the conversation on cruelty-free fashion. Since then, Shrimps has grown to include a full ready-to-wear offering and is renowned for its joy-suffused prints and hand-made accessories.<br><br> <br><br>With more than a quarter of a million followers on Instagram, the brand’s whimsical aesthetic sensibility, intelligent use of reference and charming tone of voice are as well-loved as they are instantly recognisable.<br><br> <br><br>Originating as a cruelty-free brand, an ethical approach to fashion remains pivotal to the Shrimps ethos. The brand’s production team have established long-standing relationships with its manufacturers, and where possible, work with London-based artisans to reduce shipping impact. Newer designs have experimented with innovative fabrics made from recycled fibres, and ongoing effort is made to make 100% of packaging biodegradable. In opposition to throwaway fashion, Shrimps garments are made to be treasured, so each item comes with detailed care instructions to ensure longevity, and, in rare instances of faults, they attempt to repair the item rather than replace it. <br><br>
