Pelegrims, a low-intervention, active skincare range that uses waste products from the wine-making process and harnesses powerful grape extracts is the brainchild of Alex Verier (the mind behind Margate’s famous Haeckels), sommelier and tech executive Jérôme Moisan and former Le Labo marketing whiz, Gaelle Scoul.  Both Pelegrims and its partner Westwell Wines, a vineyard in North Downs, Kent, home to Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Ortega varieties, believe in the power of longevity. Westwell thinks not just in terms of the next few vintages but the next generations, while Pelegrims values patience, a long attention span, and slow, thorough learning. They are not guided by a frantic search for more: new products will exist if / when they are ready.  The skincare line is formulated, trialled and manufactured in the same lab/production centre, located only about 20 miles from Westwell Wines. This not only allows them to keep their carbon footprint low, but also allows for traceability from seed to bottle as they see the process the entire way through. Pelegrims never test on animals (only on the founders and daring friends and family) and make products in small batches only to ensure quality.

Ritual: 1. Rinse face with warm water and apply the Vitamin Boost Facial Cleanser, massaging in circles over the face with extra focus on any problem areas. Pat dry with a clean towel. 2. When still slightly moist drop a few drops of the Facial Oil onto the skin and massage in thoroughly for at least 3 minutes. This allows for improved circulation in the skin and will give a healthier glow to the skin.  3. Once the Facial Oil has fully absorbed add a thin layer of Facial Balm over the skin of the face and apply thicker amounts to any damaged or extra dry skin.
