These gorgeous deep green stones with orangey/blue inclusions are known as Beryl! Beryl is chemically from the same family as emeralds (The birthstone for May!) but is closer to Aquamarine with the presence of iron in the stone (the orange bits!) This is the perfect stone for watery Scorpio's.

This beryl is our second official Crystal Clear™ validated crystal. SLC's founder, Jill Urwin, has been working for years to clean up opaque supply chains in the crystal industry. This aquamarine from Tharaka Nithi County, Eastern Kenya is part of our efforts to provide the artisanal miners with a route to market that enables the final customer - you - to buy with complete clarity and confidence.
Crystal Clear™ has completed CRAFT due diligence guidelines at the mine to monitor fair-trade practices and identify areas of improvement as part of a longer term partnership with the mine. This beryl is mined by Sparta Mines - a group of young men from Embu County in Kenya. They discovered the aquamarine deposit on their ancestral farmlands in the village, which gave them an opportunity for an alternative source of income.
