More than a simple fashion brand, Elsie and Fred strongly encourage individuality and expression through their clothing, and, beyond being a retailer, they aim to be a destination that is transparent and open, and doesn’t shy away from the topics or concerns that affect their community. Rather than the standard corporate jargon, their sustainability &amp; responsibility page breaks down their manufacturing processes, introducing the people that run and work at the factory where their clothes are made, and honestly addressing their limitations and where they hope to do better.  A cultural destination in itself, their website boasts curated playlists, blog posts and video campaigns, infused with the same infectiously cool energy as the clothes themselves.  They are “pro-black, pro-gay, pro-liberal, pro-human, pro be whatever you want to be as long as you’re being kind whilst doing it.” “We talk to young-hearted humans about everything from sex to relationships and drugs, to self-care,” they say.  “Life isn’t about shying away from topics that affect our young people, it’s about creating safe spaces where we don’t judge one another.”
