which woo with Kathryn Newton
From meditation to the quantum realm, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania star Kathryn Newton shares her wellness faves
words Team Woo
Which woo is our way of getting to the heart of all the feel-good things that bring us joy, excitement and delight. In this series, we sit down with big names across music, film, TV and many more to find out what really moves them and, when it comes down to it, which woo they’d choose when hard pressed.
For this which woo, we met actor Kathryn Newton who stars in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Newly released in cinemas, the Marvel Studios production is the third movie in the Ant-Man franchise and stars Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lily as the titular Ant-Man/ Scott Lang and the Wasp/ Hope Pym who are happily loved up on Earth.
Ant-Man’s daughter Cassie (played by Newton) has other plans, however, when she unwittingly transports them, herself and Hope’s parents to the Quantum Realm — a fantastical universe outside of space and time. Once there, plenty of superhero shenanigans ensue as the quintet faces off against Kang the Conqueror.
So, yeah, there’s lot’s going on here! Despite being released just last week, the film has already raked in $241.3 million worldwide (not exactly small change!) and is one of the highest-grossing films of the year so far.
With all this high octane adventure, we decided it was more important than ever to discover how Newton unwinds and destresses from her hectic work schedule.
In the search of wooness, we chatted to her all about her love of daily meditation, being a homebody and embracing goblin mode.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is in cinemas now.
